Lawyer proxy examinee held

Two lawyers were arrested for appearing in the written examination of the Bangladesh Bar Council for permission of starting practice in the High Court as proxy examinees at the Sheikh Borhanuddin Post Graduate College in the city on Friday.Lawyer of Supreme Court Bar Advocate Mohammad Arif Uddin, 30, appeared in the examination as a proxy on behalf of the real examinee Advocate of Chittagong Bar Mohammad Moinuddin Hossain, 30, by tampering the photograph and the seal of the admit card, said a Bar Council press release yesterday. Arif was caught red-handed by the invigilator as he found different photos attached with the original admit card and the admit card of the proxy examinee while he was checking the documents. Advocate Moinuddin was also detained when he came to rescue Advocate Arif, the release added.
