Be patient!

Both Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia 'cannot' wait for the next general election. Both of them are expecting victory in the next election, so that once again the two parties can engage in hostile, chaotic and beleaguered political showdown. Recently, Sheikh Hasina said elections should be held as soon as possible because the people will not accept the present extra-constitutional government. My question is, did the people tell her that they would not accept this government for a long time? The majority of people in Bangladesh are happy to see this government in power and want to see it bringing reforms in many sectors. But reforms cannot come overnight, they will take time. In addition, we, the people of Bangladesh, have to be willing to adapt ourselves to the forthcoming reforms so that they can be effective. Finally, my message to both Hasina and Khaleda; it is now time to bring about reforms within your parties. You two leaders have been the role models for our country for some time now, therefore, please do something good for the sake of our country so that the forthcoming generations can be inspired by you.
