Khulna Press Club and Khulna Union of Journalists (KUJ) have chalked out separate programmes to observe the day.

Khulna Press Club will hold a discussion at its auditorium at 11:00am, followed by a milad mahfil.

KUJ will also hold a discussion at 12:00noon and a milad mahfil after Zohr prayers at its office.

Shaikh Harun-ar-Rashid, senior crime reporter of Dainik Purbanchal, was gunned down by extremists on the evening of March 2 in 2002 at Mujgunni in Khalishpur, Khulna.
