Prof Dr M Asaduzzaman, chairman of University Grants Commission, was present as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the winners of the merit scholarship.

Jalaluddin Ahmed, president, Board of Directors, East West University, presided over the ceremony.

A total of 45 students received merit scholarship for this semester.

Dr Mohammad Musa, acting vice-chancellor, greeted the recipients of the scholarship while Suraiya Ahmed, joint registrar, gave the vote of thanks.

Founder vice-chancellor Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, deans, faculty members and guardians were also present at the ceremony.
