The policeman is identified as SI Abdul Malek.

Kishoreganj Superintendent of Police (SP) office sources said A Harun of North Chhatir Char village of the upazila complained SP Lutfur Rahman Mondol over cellphone that SI Malek arrested on February 25 one of the seven accused Rafij Uddin in a case filed on February 23 by Pandu Mala Khoton of North Chhotir Char village. Later, SI Malek released Rafij in exchange for Tk 2000 in bribe the same day.

SP Mondol said SI Malek was suspended on Wednesday as the allegation brought against him was proved after primary investigation.
