He will call on Chief Adviser to the Caretaker Government Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, Adviser for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury and Chief Election Commissioner Dr Shamsul Huda on March 20, official sources said yesterday.

He is expected to call on BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina.

McKinnon will end his tenure after a new Secretary General of Commonwealth is elected at the next Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kampala in November this year.

McKinnon's visit can be described as a farewell visit to Bangladesh, the sources said.
