Rajib drew with Indian IM Sriram Jha at the Gorky Sadan to extend his collection to three points.

Niaz Murshed, Bangladesh's first GM, returned to winning ways and also levelled with Rajib on three points after beating Murali Krishnan of India.

Six players were sharing the lead with 3.5 points each.

In other matches, GM Ziaur Rahman, IM Abdullah Al Rakib and FM Mehdi Hasan Parag all defeated their Indian opponents, Satyajit, RR Laxman and Debashish Dutta respectively.
