The arrestees-- Md Ibrahim and Aman Ullah-- were reportedly Rohinga refugees, who hailed from Mongdu in Myanmar.

According to sources, Aman and Ibrahim along with two others in guise of Rab picked up the victim Yunus Sarwar on January 28 on charge of carrying 'hundi' (money sent through informal channel) money while returning home after drawing TK 4 lakh from a bank on Station Road.

Following a case filed by Yunus, Rab-7 members arrested the two from Ibrahim's residence in the city's Sugandha Residential Area at around 4:00pm.
