Ensure voting rights of minority people

Rashed Khan Menon, president of Workers Party and central leader of the grand alliance, called upon the caretaker government to ensure voting rights of the minority communities. Menon while visiting different educational institutions of Jalla union under Uzirpur upazila of the district yesterday said members of all communities have the equal constitutional rights and without proper ensuring these rights, democracy would be incomplete. During the visit, students, teachers and local people cited some examples of harassments of minority community before and after the general election of 2001. Local and central leaders of the grand alliance accompanied Menon during the visit.
