To mark the day, Quran Khwani, milad mahfil and feeding of the destitute were arranged at the ancestral home of late Chowdhury at Puran Bazar in the town.

Chandpur district Awami League organised a discussion on the life and works of the Liberation War organiser at the Chandpur Press Club auditorium.

Among others, ex-state minister for planning Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Awami League leader Dr Shamsul Hoq Bhuiyan, Chandpur Pourasabha chairman Nasir Bhuiyan and Mizan Chowdhury's son Amanullah Aman Raju Chowdhury spoke on the eventful life of late Mizan Chowdhury.

Earlier, district AL and its front organisation leaders placed wreath at the grave of late Chowdhury.
