A Dhaka court yesterday sentenced one person to death for killing an expatriate at Kapasia in Gazipur district in 2004.Judge AR Masud of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-4 gave death sentence to Zakaria Kabiraj for killing Japan expatriate Zia Haider Khan Tipu on August 24, 2004. The court acquitted Sanullah, Sirajul Islam, Morsalin and Mostafa as the charges brought against them were not proved.
