Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF


Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Bangladeshi cattle trader near Nitpur frontier under Porsha upazila of Naogaon district on Tuesday night.

The victim was identified as Abdul Gaffar, 25, son of late Elahi Baksh of Raghunathpur village under the same upazila.

BDR sources said the Indian border guards opened fire on Gaffar when he went to the border pillar no 231 to buy cows. He died instantly

Immediately after the killing, the BSF personnel took away the body.

BDR demanded return of the body, but its Indian counterpart did not respond as of 6:00pm yesterday.
