At least four people were killed and 14 others injured in separate road accidents in Brahmanbaria and Sirajganj yesterday.Our Correspondent from Brahmanbaria reports: Three people were killed and 10 others injured in separate road accidents in Brahmanbaria yesterday. One person was killed and 10 others injured when a Brahmanbaria-bound BRTC bus from Dhaka and a Ashuganj-bound tempo from Brahmanabria collided head-on on Brahmanbaria-Dhaka highway at Khariala village under Sadar upazila on Sunday night. The dead was identified as Abdu Mia, 60, a passenger of the tempo. The injured were given first aid at a local clinic. Meanwhile, two people were killed and one was injured as two trucks collided head-on on Brahmanbaria-Comilla highway at Dharker village under Akhaura upazila at 1:00am yesterday. Police recovered the body of truck driver Madu Mia, 28, of Narayanganj while the villagers found an unidentified body under the scattered vegetables sacks. The seriously injured truck helper was identified as Tajul Islam. The accident occurred when a stone-laden truck bound for Comilla and a Brahmanbaria-bound truck loaded with vegetables collided due to dense fog, leaving two dead on the spot. Critically injured helper Tajul Islam was rushed to Brahmanabria Sadar Hospital.
