I'm no flop: Tevez
Afp, London
Carlos Tevez has endured a miserable time since joining West Ham but the Argentina striker insists he is not a Premiership flop.Tevez, 22, is regarded as one of the best young players in the world and was expected to be an instant success following his move to West Ham from Brazilian club Corinthians in August. But he has failed to score in his 11 appearances for the London team, has struggled to hold down a regular place in the side, and was fined by boss Alan Pardew after storming out of Upton Park after being substituted against Sheffield United last week. Although Tevez has already been linked with a move when the transfer window re-opens in January, he believes he is finally starting to adapt to the Premiership. He showed glimpses of his best form in his side's defeat at Everton on Sunday and told West Ham's website: "I definitely feel that, little by little, I am getting to where I want to be in terms of the level of my performances. "I feel more and more comfortable with every game I play but as a striker it is scoring goals that defines you as a good player, which I am yet to do. I hope that is coming soon. "I feel good in myself, I have had a few kicks and knocks but I understand that is part and parcel of the Premiership so it is not a problem. "It makes me stronger as a player and as I said before I do feel like I am improving with every game I play."
