Al Jazeera and our cable operator

A few days ago, I called up my cable operator at Gulshan, requesting him to include the newly launched English TV channel of Al-Jazeera. I was hoping that the cable guy would be happy to hear my request. To my surprise, he was deeply sad and frustrated by my request. He said, "we cannot give you that Bhai, because Al Jazeera's Arabic channel is so damn popular that we cannot even think of another English channel in Dhaka. Bhai, why don't you watch other channels such as BBC, CNN, Sky News etc?"I was quite flabbergasted by this sweeping order. I thought I must be a fool and ignorant that I even don't know Bengalis have become so fluent in Arabic that they don't want the Al Jazeera's English channel!
