Gold, valuables worth Tk 4 lakh looted in N'ganj

Wearing masks, armed robbers looted 40 tolas of gold ornaments and valuables worth Tk 4 lakh from the residence of a businessman at Baburail under Sadar thana of the district in the early hours of yesterday.Police said that nearly a dozen of dacoits, who looted cash, gold ornaments, US dollars and a mobile set after tying up the house-owner Mahmud Hossain and his family members at gun point, could not be tracked down yet.
