Mahakhali flyover lights continue to burn....

In a caption story we first wrote about the wastage in our November 27 edition. The lights kept burning. Nobody did anything. Then we again ran the same story on November 29. There was nobody to switch off the lights during daytime on the Mahakhali flyover. The Dhaka City Corporation and Roads and Highways Department keep pointing fingers at each other, each denying responsibility of the lights. It is unacceptable to think that dozens of lights keep burning day and night for the last 37 days while public money is spent to maintain offices like Nagar Bhaban and Swarak Bhaban with thousands of well-fed staffs.
