Phiriye Ano Bangladesh Open Concert
Cultural Correspondent
Inspired by the success of the black badge campaign, and recognising the need for continued effort, an organisation Take Back Bangladesh is organising an open concert titled Phiriye Ano Bangladesh at the Dhanmondi Rabindra Sarobar Amphitheater (Road No. 7) on December 1 at 2:30pm. The concert seeks to generate awareness about free and fair elections in Bangladesh. The event will feature a petition-signing site, where members of the audience can endorse the group's demand for a free and fair election. It is hoped that the open concert will encourage the non-political citizens of Bangla-desh to engage in similar acts of peaceful protest. The event will be one of a series of activities that will be organised by Take Back Bangladesh to ensure that they attain the fundamental democratic rights, that is the right to vote freely and fairly. Bands like Black, Artcell, Watson Brothers, Hyder Hussain, Bappa Mazumder, Ornob, Metal Maze, and others, including a surprise guest band, as well as fire-spinners, are expected to perform in the concert. A number of neutral civil society leaders are also expected to attend the event.
