DSE elected vice chairman of SAFE
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has been elected vice chairman of SAFE (South Asian Federation of Exchanges), a regional federation of stock exchanges of South Asia. Bombay Stock Exchange has been elected chairman. They were elected at the South Asian Capital Markets Conference and SAFE Annual General Meeting held on November 15-17 in Colombo, says a press release. SAFE consists of eleven leading stock exchanges from eight regional countries namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The conference was inaugurated by Ajith Nivard Cabraal, governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The theme of the event was 'Exploring the Potential and Prospects of Financial Markets in South Asia'.
