Tremor jolts Ctg, Cox's Bazar


A mild earthquake, measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, jolted the port city, Cox's Bazar and Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) on last night.

However, there was no report of casualties from the quake that took place at 20.40.50pm and lasted for 18 seconds, according to the local Met office.

The distance of the epicentre of the quake was 163-km off the Chittagong Seismic Observatory.
