The raided halls are Sir AF Rahman Hall, Jagannath Hall, Sergeant Jahurul Haque Hall, Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall and Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Hall.

The detainees are Tanvir Ahmed, who lived at Jagannath Hall with a pseudonym - Loknath and KM Farhad, detained from F Rahman Hall. However, they were later released.

Sources said in the pre-dawn raid, police searched a number of rooms but found no arms. While talking to newsmen, some residents of these dorms alleged that police only searched those rooms where Bangladesh Chhatra League workers reside.

However, a small bomb was recovered from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall yesterday noon. Bomb experts of police, on information, recovered the bomb.
