"We have demanded reform of the caretaker government and the Election Commission (EC) to ensure proper exercise of people's voting right through free and fair polls. And the caretaker government will have to accomplish all these tasks neutrally," Hasina said in a press statement.

The AL chief said the caretaker government will have to make the voter list flawless by restructuring the Election Commission, canceling the 'fake' voter list and distributing voter identity cards.

She also demanded use of transparent ballot box in the elections.

Hasina alleged that the immediate past BNP-Jamaat alliance government had tried to appoint a partisan caretaker chief to cling to power, but the people under the leadership of Awami League and 14-party combine foiled the evil attempt through a tough movement.
