As many as 10,000 people took part in the procession which was followed by a joint rally at the outer stadium.

Speakers threatened an indefinite tougher agitation after November 4 if their demands are not realised by November 3.

They urged the president to take immediate measures to resolve the ongoing political crisis in order to hold a free and fair election. They also called for an independent Election Commission.

Among others, Manikganj Awami League (AL) president Golam Mohiuddin, former AL lawmaker Samsuddin Ahmed, JSD-Inu joint secretary Iqbal Hossain Khan addressed the rally.
