The government also made Additional Inspector General (IG) Chowdhury Kamal Ahsan officer on special duty (OSD).

Earlier in the evening the interim government cancelled the contractual service of Rab Director General (DG) MA Aziz Sarkar and Additional IG (Administration) Farruk Ahmed.

As per the new order, chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Khoda Bakhs was made the Rab DG while DMP Commissioner SM Mizanur Rahman was appointed the CID chief.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rajshahi Range Naim Ahmed was made the DMP commissioner.

Director of Police Staff College Naba Bikram Tripura was transferred to Police Headquarters as an additional IG while DIG of Railway Police Samsuddoha Khandakar was made the director of Police Staff College.

Deputy IG of Police Headquarters Hasan Mahmud was made Additional IG (current charge) at the same office.

Dr Sadequr Rahman, DIG, Special Branch (SB) of police, was transferred to CID.

Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Commissioner Khan Sayeed Hasan was transferred as the DIG of Rajshahi Range while DIG of CID Nazmul Hasan was made the KMP commissioner.

Commandant of Police Training College (PTC) Sheikh Hemayet Hossain Miah was made the Railway Police DIG while Khulna PTC Commandant Mukhleshur Rahman was made the DIG of SB.

Additional DMP Commissioner Moniruzzaman was made the commander of third Armed Police Battalion in Khulna.

Besides, Assistant IG Humayun Kabir of Police Headquarters was transferred to PTC Khulna, CID Special Police Super Abdur Rahim to PTC Rangpur, and Superintendent of Police (Telecom) at Police Headquarters Zillur Rahman was made AIG at the Police Headquarters.
