BAT Bangladesh receives EHS Gold Merit Award
British American Tobacco Bangladesh has recently received BAT plc's highest level recognition for excellence in the area of environment, health and safety (EHS), says a press release. The tobacco company has received EHS Gold Merit Award from the top management of BAT plc. Earlier, the company received eight "Zero Accident Awards" in the past years from BAT plc. This award comes as recognition of five years (2001-2005) of accident-free operations in the company's Green Leaf Threshing Plant in Kushtia and its leaf growing areas around the country.
