President fit for normal duties with limited outdoor activities


President Iajuddin Ahmed, who has undergone cardiac surgery recently, is "fit for normal duties", with limited outdoor activities.

A medical board, headed by National Professor (Retd) Brig Gen Dr MA Malik, gave the opinion after reviewing the latest state of health of the President at Bangabhaban yesterday.

"Outdoor activities should not exceed once and twice per week, and the duration of such activities should not be more than 30 to 60 minutes," a release from the President house quoting the medical board said.

The physicians expressed satisfaction at the progress of "rehabilitation programme of the President", said M Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury, Press Secretary to the President.

Other members of the board are Maj Gen MA Moyeed Siddiqui, Maj Gen MG Rabbani, Prof KMHS Sirajul Haque, Brig Gen Sheikh M Bahar Hossain and Lt Col Mamunur Rahman.
