Punishment to JCD cadre demanded

Female students of Fazilatun-Nesa hall of Jahangirnagar University (JU) brought out a protest procession on the campus yesterday demanding punishment to the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) cadres who assaulted a female student on August 21. The procession paraded the campus chanting slogans against repression and demanded formulation of a code against sexual harassment to put an immediate end to the incidents of repression and sexual harassment. Following the procession, the agitating students held a rally on the premises of Social Science Faculty where they vowed to continue the movement. to press their demand.
