Lovely Akhter, 22, died on the spot while her two and a half year old son Leon, who was in her lap, was severely injured.

The victim's family members claimed her marital unhappiness to be the cause of her suicide and that she was having conjugal feuds with her husband for the last few weeks.

She left the house with her son at around 8:00am yesterday, family sources added.

Witnesses informed that Lovely suddenly jumped before a Dhaka-bound train with her son in her lap near Hydrabad area at Gazipur and died on the spot.

The locals rushed Leon to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in serious condition.

Relatives of the deceased took the body to her village home for burial without autopsy.
