Cygan moves to Villarreal

French defender Pascal Cygan on Thursday left English side Arsenal to sign for Villarreal in Spain on a two-year contract, the Spanish club saiid.The 32-year-old spent four seasons at the London club after signing from Lille. Cygan follows compatriot and former Arsenal player Robert Pires to Villarreal. However, Pires will be sidelined for up to six months because of a knee injury.
