DC Cup final today

The first DC Cup football tournament will see its finale today at the Khagrachhari Stadium when the hosts take on surprise package Dighinala.Khagrachhari reached the final after going past Matiranga in the quarterfinals by 2-1 and then outclassing Mohalchhari in the semifinal 3-1. On the other hand, Dighinala were awarded a place in the last four after their opponents Manikchhari were suspended from the tournament for fielding players from outside of the upazila. Dighinala pounced on this opportunity and knocked out Panchhari on penalties in the semifinal. A huge inspiration has been created among the locals because of this tournament, which has been staged after five years. The meet started with eight teams on August 26.
