Academy play final ODI today


Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) National Academy will play their third and final one-day match against the Pakistan Cricket Academy at the Bagh-e-Jinnah Stadium in Lahore today.

This will be the Academy side's final chance to win a match on tour after they had drawn both four-day matches and lost the two one-day games played so far.

On Thursday, the hosts won the second one-dayer by 52 runs at the Sialkot Stadium, thanks to a superb 129 by Usman Saeed. Apart from the ton, Khurram Manzoor scored 89 while for the tourists, left-arm fast bowler Shafaq Al Jabir took two wickets.

In reply, the Academy side were bowled out for 229 in 45.1 overs. Half-centuries from Zahurul Islam (63) and Nadir Chowdhury (64) were not enough as the tourists now look to restore some pride by winning today's match.

They lost the first one-day match by seven wickets at the same ground.
