2 criminals held, arms recovered

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two listed criminals in the city's Lalmatia and New Eskaton areas on Thursday night and recovered a revolver and three bullets from their possession.According to a Rab press release, the arrestees, Mehedi Hasan Ujjal of C/25, Lalmatia, and his accomplice Himel Hossain of 31/A, New Eskaton Road, were involved in criminal activities in Khilgaon area. Rab had earlier arrested Himel for his criminal activities. He was released on bail recently and again started criminal activities in the area. Both Mehedi and Himel are accused in several murder cases filed with Khilgaon Police Station, the press release said.
