The towering musical personality and 'Shehnai' maestro, Bismillah Khan, has left us forever. The national flag flew half-mast in all the government offices of Uttar Pradesh in India. The Indian government declared one-day national mourning on his death. Bismillah Khan was a historical personality as well, playing 'Shehnai' at the first celebration of the Independence Day of India in 1947 at the Red Fort in Old Delhi. What a great honour! Not only India but also the whole world has lost a genius. May God give him eternal peace in heaven.
