Jalaluddin new president of East West University

Jalaluddin Ahmed has taken over as the president of the board of directors of East West University on Tuesday, says a press release. He has succeeded Dr Mohammad Farashuddin, former governor of Bangladesh Bank. A former secretary of the Bangladesh government, Jalaluddin Ahmed has a distinguished educational and service background. He had served in many important positions such as chairman of Petrobangla, joint secretary-in-charge, Prime Minister's secretariat, and additional secretary to health ministry. He had also served as an ILO and UNFPA regional adviser on population education for more than a decade. Presently, Jalaluddin Ahmed is also heading South-South Centre, Bangladesh, an NGO working in the field of population, health and development.
