Tata to sign MoU with BOA

Tata Steel Limited will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) on September 3 to boost sports relationship between the two neighbouring countries.

A delegation headed by deputy managing director of Tata Steel Arun Narayan Singh is likely to arrive in the capital on tomorrow, said a BOA source.

Acting secretary general of BOA Kutubuddin Ahmed will sign the MoU on behalf of BOA and Arun Narayan Singh on behalf of Tata Steel, a concern of Tata Group, at the Kurmitola Golf Club.

Under the MoU, BOA will initially send 19 players from three disciplines -- archery, boxing and athletics -- to Tata Sports Academy for better training ahead of the 15th Asian Games to be held in Doha in December this year.
