Decomposed body found in handcuffs

The body of a man in handcuffs was recovered from a ditch at Demra in the city area yesterday.On receiving information, the police recovered the decomposed body and found an identity card in his pocket. The ID card was inscribed with the name Mohammad Liton, 35, a knitting operator of a garments factory at Jamgora, Savar. Local people spotted the body floating in the ditch in Shanarpar area at around 4:30am. There were injuries in the head and the hands were handcuffed, police said, adding that the handcuffs are very modern. They suspect that some criminals might have killed him and dumped the body into the ditch.
