46 more infected with dengue


Forty-six more people became infected with dengue virus yesterday, raising the number to 987, according to Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) sources.

The patients were admitted to different hospitals and clinics in the city.

Doctor Naseem-Us-Seraj of DCC said they identified 24 DCC wards, out of 90, as dengue-prone areas.

Kathalbagan, Kalabagan, Azimpur, and some areas of Dhanmondi and Mohammadpur are identified as the most dengue-prone areas, he observed.
