Berger Paints' half-yearly net profit up 65pc
The half-yearly net profit of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited in 2006 registered a robust 65 per cent growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.The half yearly net sale was Tk 1,468.77 million against Tk 1,088.09 million and un-audited gross profit rose to Tk 487.35 million against Tk 380.74 million in the first half of 2005, says a press release. The net profit after tax reached Tk 175.58 million as against Tk 106.19 million of the corresponding first half of 2005. Earning per share (EPS) reached Tk 7.55 per ordinary share of Tk 10 on the basis of half yearly report against Tk 4.00 of the corresponding period of last year. This was announced at a meeting of the company in Dhaka on Sunday .
