Henin-Hardenne appointed UNESCO ambassador

Belgian tennis star Justine Henin Hardenne has recently been appointed a UNESCO Champion for Sport entrusting her with a special mission to promote the fight against doping in sport, said a UNESCO press release.A three-time winner of the French Open, Justine Henin-Hardenne has bagged 24 titles including the US Open, the Australian Open and an Olympic gold in the 2004. She joins an elite group of sports personalities to be graced with the honour which include Brazilian soccer legend Pele, Ukrainian pole-vaulter Serhiy Bubka, German Formula1 champion Michael Schumacher among others.
