Staff Correspondent
Leaders of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) yesterday at a rally said though the major political parties are talking about election reforms, they are not sincere about the reforms, as they do not want to eliminate use of black money and muscle power in the election. They also said these political parties formulate the electoral laws and they themselves violate them. CPB organised the rally at Muktangan in the city as part of their countrywide agitation programme demanding resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and the two election commissioners and implementation of their 53-point demand for reforming the electoral system. Presided over by Mahbub Alam, secretary of CPB central committee, the rally was also addressed by Ahsan Habib Lavlu, Sajjad Jahir Chandan and Lina Chakrabarty. Later, they brought out a procession that paraded different city streets.
