Kishore Kumar, the secretary of the organisation delivered the welcome speech in memory of composer Debu Bhattacharjee. Among others who spoke at the programme were eminent poet Asad Choudhury, poet Arunav Sharkar and Shahiduzzaman Swapon.

After the formal discussion session, Bulbul Moholanobish performed a few songs, including Ami chaina tomay kachhey and Nodir kul nai composed by Debu Bhattacharjee. A vocal artiste, Bulbul performed at the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra that had operated during the Liberation War of Bangladesh.

Later, members of the organisation Brishti, Shaila, Jewel, I V Azad, Mita, Hasan Mahmud president of the Swapnokuri rendered songs. The event wrapped off with a choral rendition of a song by eminent poet Shamsur Rahman titled, Shawdhinata Tumi performed by the artistes of the Sargam Lalitkala Academy, an associate organisation of Swapnokuri.
