RMCH interns start indefinite strike

Interns at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) yesterday began an indefinite strike protesting attack on the president of the RMCH unit of Intern Doctors Association by some locals on Thursday night.No classes were held at the medical college yesterday as the interns locked the main gate in the morning. They took out a procession on the campus and submitted a memorandum to RMC Principal Professor Azizul Islam and Director of the Hospital Shajahan Biswas, demanding immediate action against the persons responsible for the attack on their leader Ali Reza. They also vowed to continue their strike until the demand was met. The interns urged the principal of the college and the director of the hospital to demolish the unauthorised structures on the college campus.
