Rabindra Bharati Praktoni, an organisation of graduates from Rabindra Bharati University, India arranged a cultural programme titled Pathochala at the Experimental Theatre Stage on June 2.Lighting the lamp, cultural personality Kazi Abu Zafar Siddiqui inaugurated the cultural event. Through songs, recitation and dance, the former students paid homage to the Nobel Laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore. The cultural programme began with a chorus, E path gechhe konkhane go. Chittaranjan Mandal, Uttam Saha, Kanchan Mostafa, Shreasree Roy Mumu, ATM Jahangir and Chhaya Rani Karmakar performed solos. Tamanna Rahman and Veronica Baby Rosario presented a dance, while Shahadat Hossain gave a recitation. Arif Hyder, the secretary general of the organisation said, "Rabindra Bharati Praktoni is a common platform for the graduates of Rabindra Bharati University, who are associated with significant cultural activities in Bangladesh. In future, we are eager to stage even more colourful events."
