Dinajpur vet college closed sine die

Dinajpur Government Veterinary College was closed sine die yesterday following a non-stop student agitation. The college authorities also urged the students to leave their dormitories by night. Sources said that, the students of DGVC were agitating since last June to realise their 7-point demand including removal of principal of the college. A large contingent of police has been deployed on the campus to prevent any untoward incident. The students started boycotting their class since June 1, 2006 to press their demands including appointment of more teachers, removal of college principal and introduction of internship allowance.
