Greater Comilla Journalists' Former organised the meeting with its founder President Syed Akhter Yusuf in the chair.

Elderly politician Mozaffar Hossain Paltu, former presidents of BFUJ Habibur Rahman Milon and Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and secretaries general Ruhul Amin Gazi and Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan, DUJ president Altaf Mahmud, deputy editor of Dainik Jugantor Saiful Alam, Jatiya Press Club treasurer Abdur Rahman Khan and Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) president Shafiqul Karim Sabu addressed the meeting.

The speakers urged the journalists to perform their duties unitedly in the present time of crisis by devoting themselves to the profession like Zakaria Milon.
