"I feel insecure as cadres of my husband are threatening me, my mother and brother with death if I do not withdraw the case," she said at a press briefing at her paternal house at Merul Badda in the city.

She demanded security of her life in the face of the alleged threat.

Naznin alleged that her husband had tortured her for two years since their marriage on June 16, 1983. Later, she was divorced in 1995 as she had complained about her husband's extramarital affair. Later, Bulu forced her to remarry him by giving her Tk 2 crore, she said.

"With this money, I bought shares of Dhaka Bank and Jumuna Bank. Bulu started torturing me again for two reasons -- I used to protest his extramarital affair and he wanted me to transfer the shares to him," she said.

Naznin took shelter at her father's house on December 10 last year as Bulu ousted her from their Gulshan house.

Asked why she made delay in filing the case, she said fear held her back.
