All districts to take part in nat'l football

All the 64 district teams have sent their entries for the Jubok Phone National Football Championship that will begin on July 15 at regional venues across the country.Of the six affiliated universities, only Dhaka University confirmed their participation while three service teams -- Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force -- also confirmed participation. Meanwhile, two sub-committees were formed at a meeting of the National Football Championship Committee on Thursday to finalise the venues (preliminary and final round) and to prepare the bye-laws. A total of 37 districts applied to host the preliminary and final round matches -- 24 for the preliminary round and 13 for the final round, informed Manzur Hossain Malu, deputy general secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and chairman of the tournament committee, yesterday.
