1 killed by tiger in Sundarbans

A fisherman was killed by Royal Bengal Tiger while he was catching fish in the river Kalinchi in Sundarbans on Thursday. The victim was identified as Shahadat Hossain, 40, son of Mahabat Ali of Sora village under Shyamnagar upazila. Quoting local people police said Shahadat along with nine other fishermen went to Sundarbans to catch fish taking pass from the forest department on May 30. The man-eater swooped on him in the afternoon and dragged him into the deep forest. Locals and the victim's companions recovered the decomposed body yesterday.
