DCC offers big screen World Cup

Football fans in Dhaka will be able to watch the World Cup live on big screens at 30 city locations, officials said on Friday.The month-long World Cup beginning on June 9 is expected to draw record television audiences in the sport-obsessed country. Millions of people in the capital, however, do not have access to television. "We will show live World Cup telecast on projection televisions in 30 spots in the city," said superintendent engineer Amirul Hoque of the Dhaka City Corporation.
