Bus strike in Patuakhali

Bus services between Patuakhali and other parts of the country remained suspended since yesterday morning due to an indefinite strike enforced by the bus owners. A faction of the District Bus Owners' Association enforced the strike protesting internal feud over formation of the committee. Another faction at a press conference yesterday called for an indefinite strike to be enforced from today. Due to the strike, bus services on 32 routes came to a halt, causing untold sufferings to the commuters.
